Representatives of the Association of Civil Protection and Emergency Situations "ALICANTI" Ascproteccivil.Alacantí from the Spanish city of Alicante arrived in Vinnytsia. They are Jose Manuel Prieto and Antonio Berdú. We got to know them yesterday during a meeting in our Foundation. First of all, co-founders Andriy Polishcuk and Oleksandr Mlynets, thanked their Spanish friends for their solidarity with the Ukrainian people, for their concern, support and humanitarian assistance. Then they got acquainted with the work of the Fund, demonstrated its capabilities. Jose Manuel Prieto and Antonio Berdu did not hide their interest in the activities of the Vinnytsia team of volunteers and rescuers, as both Jose and Antonio are civilian rescuers in their country. They work with specially trained dogs that are able to find a person under water or pull them out from under rubble, determine the territory of mines with explosives, etc.
- When this terrible war started, for some time we watched its horrors from TV news and videos on the Internet. Then they made an independent and unanimous decision - to go and help, because people should not suffer like this! This is unfair and cruel war! We can be useful. We have special knowledge and skills for that. Currently, we have primarily a familiarization mission. In addition to the charitable humanitarian aid that we have organized, you have already received the first shipment, we could also contribute in other ways. For example, the work of dog trainers, rescuers. We want to get acquainted with everything, learn about all your needs and join the cooperation with your foundation, - Spanish friends told about their intentions.
In response, Andriy Polishcuk said that as part of the already planned joint plans with Vinnytsia rescuers, the Fund will actively assist Spanish partners in organizing a trip for them to Kyiv (the cities of Irpin, Bucha), Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
And today Jose Manuel Prieto and Antonio Berdu become acquainted with Vinnytsia and the people of Vinnytsia.
By the way, during the meeting with the Spanish friends, representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia region, with whom our Foundation closely cooperates, were also present.
